Which area is for you?

Harvesting fine teas requires lots of timing, planning, skill, and endurance. It's of course always only the top leaves (ie, the new flush) and buds that are picked for premium teas.

Tea cultivation originated in China, from where it spread to Japan, Korea, and various other Asian, Middle Eastern, and African nations, such as India, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Iran, Kenya, and many others. In the traditional tea cultivating regions, there are tea farmers, artisans adept at processing tea and crafting tea-ware, along with cultural practitioners of tea ceremonies. In the West, tea-related professions encompass retail positions like tea baristas, who excel in serving tea and tea beverages, and service staff. There are also specialized roles such as tea tasters, blenders, and tea sommeliers, along with business positions like tea buyers, product developers, brand managers, and sales/marketing professionals. Additionally, some professions focus on education and training, such as tea educators and those involved in tea certification programs, as well as roles in tea logistics and quality control.

Often, a single tea plantation, importing and distributing company, or a tea house encompasses several of the professions listed above.

By now, you realize that if tea is your favorite beverage, it can open doors to various careers and destinations around the globe!
