About the Event

Warm welcome to combine Pranayama, Meditation and Tea. In all cultures around the world tea offers a beautiful opportunity to take a break, a rest, alone or together with others. This event is designed as an experience both to receive a flavor for meditation - ie stilling our mind, and to taste premium, rare teas.

We start with coming to a seated position and take ourselves into the present moment. I will guide you through a pranayama - breathing practice called nadi shodhana, which is sanskrit for alternate nostril breathing. This practice has been used for thousands of years to cleanse and balance the nervous system. After the breathing (ca 10 minutes) we will come to a seated meditation practice for ca 30 minutes. Then we slowly come out of the meditation and stretch our limbs. Now you will be served shou pu-er, a postfermented, full bodied earthy and aged tea from the Yunnan province of China. This tea is a rarity and plucked from tea trees that are 400+ years old and grow wild. Pu-er is a very good tea to drink in autum, it offers a natural detox and give our lungs a boost. Along with the pranayama and meditation it will create an opening to let go of old memories, feelings and  thought patterns that no longer serves us. To help facilitate this process we will stay silent and will listen to a guided meditation from insight timer, that can be used both with your eyes open or closed, seated or lying down. The only requirement thing is that we stay silent and focus inward.

After the pu-er tea and the guided meditation we take a short break for stretching, moving about and maybe visit the rest room. After the break we will taste another wonderful tea with a totally different character, also from ancient, wild growing tea trees called Ancient Moonlight White tea. An exceptional light, fruity and refined tea. A small snack will be served along side this tea. Now we can if we like share our experiences, which is of course optional. You are more than welcome to ask all kinds of questions about tea, meditation and yoga. 

Looking forward to see you on October 23rd. No prior experience needed. Each one of you will receive a tea sample to take home. 200 kr SEK / person (you pay via swish). Maximum 6 participants. If you have a yoga mat - please bring it along. Warm welcome!
